A strange thing happened, when she tried to grab Konan's soul she couldn't. It was almost as if it wasn't even there.

Konan smiled at her warmly, something wasnt right. Konan kept walking into the cave, he didn't feel anything now...maybe they were gone he thought to himself, maybe they won't try anything

"Are you coming?"

Emi squeezed her eyes shut, trying to stop her tears from falling. No... She didn't want to be alone anymore. She wanted him to stay. He made her happy. He made her feel human.
She opened her eyes to see him almost in the cave. "Konan!" Emi ran to him and hugged him from behind. "No Konan, don't go!" She tried to pull him back away from the cave. "I don't want you to die!" Her tears soaked his shirt. "Please... Please don't leave me! Konan........... I love you..." Her body shook from her sobbing, but she still tried to drag him back.

Konan stopped suddenly that her chest went into his back and then he turned around and looked into her eyes that were pouring with tears, he wiped her tears away and stroked the side of her cheek with his hand, Konan didn't wanna move, he just stood there looking at him, but he figured he'd have to say something eventually

"I've been telling you that since I met you. I love you more than anything Emi"

Konan picked her up off the ground and kissed her to help comfort her and started walking back the way they came out of the narrow pass

"We're going home....you'll love living with me"

Emi looked at the ground. "I.. I can't go. I need to stay her and you go by yourself." She looked up at him with a weak smile. "I'm sorry..."

Konan frowned then turned back around

"But you have to come back with me Emi, I love you and I wanna be with you"

Konan hugged her around her body

"I can't live without you"

"I know, I want to be with you too," she replied softly. Emi looked into his eyes. "I just can't go though, I.... I have to make up for what will be lost."

Konan didnt move and he didnt let her move from his grip

"I'm not leaving...without you"

His sword was drawn and he put it in front of her to protect her

"Somethings coming"

"Konan please just go," her voice whimpered in his ear. "I can take care of myself. I promise I'll come back as soon as I can." Damn it. This isn't good! Emi kept a calm extior but on the inside she was panicing. Konan needed to get out of here, or everything was going to be over...

There was no other alternative, she wouldnt go willing so he picked her up and slung her over his shoulder running back the way they came shooting down the long narrow passageway, he looked back and saw two cloaks chasing them

"Great, they're here"

Konan doubled his speed almost out of the narrow passage, he could hear it closing behind them, if they didnt get out soon they'd be squished

Emi gasped out when Konan grabbed her. "Konan what are you doing?!" she exclaimed. Then she noticed the familiar cloaks behind them. She growled to herself. Why does no one listen to her? She grabbed their souls, took them out and cletched her fists and them put them back, making the members knocked out.

Konan looked back and it looked like they were sleeping, oh well he told himself. He sped out of the passageway just as it closed setting Emi down

"Time to go home Emi"

Konan smiled softly at her then kissed her walking down the path that led to the leaf village and he looked back

"I love you"
