it realy dosen't matter how fast or slow you are, a trap is still a trap. Shikamaru wolud just customize it to fit the situation. Lee is a genius of efforts, but Shikamaru is a actual genius. Couldn't said it better my self i say Shikamaru and for the reason he is so just so much smarter then Lee |

yeha but Shikamaru will be to slow to react to Rock lee's speed and power of his taijutus ^_^and Shikamaru well lazy  |

Rock Lee has been dumb at times and he likes to actbefore he thinks.......
Shikamaru could always pull off a shadow binding Jutsu but he'd have to catch Rock Lee first...
I change my mind! Shikamaru would find a way to defeat Rock Lee because he has watched Lee fight and can use that to his advantage.

Chances are he won't especially if it's against Shikamaru.
I don't think he'd take that chance again unless it was a life or death situation.

by that time it would be too late. Usually with shikamaru you don't know what is happening untill it is wayyy to late.

well his speed without the weight are fast so shikamaru shadows jutus could keep up gaaras sand couldn't even keep up just saying

Ya, but if Shikamaru can look 200 moves into the future I think he'd be able to find a way to trap Lee.

it's all a question of time, of which i control! lol, but seriously, if shikamaru could set the trap early enough, then lee dosen't stand a chance. but more realistickly, Shika would be lazy and not do it early, so lee has a almost 80% chance of winning, because of the difference in speed.

Well Shikamaru doesn't need to do that thing to think but he does if he has time....it only helps him think.
I think he would have a fair chance of winning...knowing him Shikamaru can think of the most crazy things that most people wouldn't even think of....like the thread shadow, The forcing his opponant towards a hole and trapping them from behind, Using his shirt as a parachute just to extend his shadow.
I think he could do anything involving combat stradegy.

Yah, that is correct. Shika is a master of strategy, so in the grand shceme of things, Shika would most likely win, but speed has it's advantage to. I know, Shika would make a clone out of his shadow, just to lure lee into his shadow!
