In the chunin exams, yes, that is true.
But i still think lee is WAY better in shipuuden. His endurance goes way up, same with his strength. Now if they were in the sand village, there is no question who would win. But if they were both in unfamilliar terrain, i think Lee could maipulate it faster than Garra could. because A) Garra is a little slow, mobility wise, and B) because Lee is smart enough not to make the same mistake twice.

Yea Rock lee is awsome, but the fact that gaara is so intuned to his sand demon that he would completely own rock lee.

Eh, i still want to know if Lee can use his strikes like Deidara used his explosives. If he can. then Lee can destabilize Gaara's sand and kick him in the rear. Plus, esspicaly in Shipuuden, he can go something like 5 gates and recover quite quickly.

well.. they both are good fighters, but Gaara will taking win. when they fought, Gaara went so berserk and he wanted to kill Rock Lee.  |
