Think you know? {Taylia and Kankinazun fan-fic}

Emerald eyes opened as the boys mouth twisted into a yawn. It was sunrise and for this 10 year old boy a very important day. It, though not many knew, was his birthday. He smiled and sat up kicking his quilt off and swinging his legs off the bed. He brushed his hand through his dark blond hair and stood up.

He looked around his room and pulled on a pair of black pants followed by a dark green top, which covered that large tattoo like mark on his back. He yawned again and walked off to get washed before he ate some breakfast.

Three hours later and the tall ten year old was making his way off to the academy. This boy wasn't a normal child. Nor was he a ninja. He lived in one of the warrior village and abided by the warrior law.

He whistled as he walked looking around at all the villagers. He smiled and waved to them. Today he was going to be happy no matter what. For a warrior their 10 birthday is their most important. It's when they gain the respect of their fellows and are about to hone the abillities they have if they've settled down into one village by then that is.

It was a accident when he first met her. He was busy throwing a ball back to some younger children when he walked into her. He caught her before she fell and looked straight into her eyes. They were pure silver. His heart fluttered.

"I-i'm sorry." She stuttered as she wriggled away and took a step back. Her voice was sweet and innocent. He smiled and shook his head.

He was just about to open his eyes to speak when a tall cloaked figures hand grasped the girls shoulder tightly.
"Come Taylia. We must hurry." It hissed leading her off. Kakinazun growled and kicked up some dirt as he put his hands in his pockets walking faster towards the academy.

As is soft sandals hit the hard wooden floor beams he winced. He'd been so frustrated with himself he'd stepped and stubbed his toe on a loose plank. He shook ihs head and slid open the door to his classroom. He looked around and saw all the familiar faces.

At the front was a gang of girls, they all fancied Haruke his only friend who was sat in their corner at the back. And stood by the teachers desk was the class clown Byronice. Kakinazun shook his head and made his way back to Haruke. They nodded to each other as he sat down. No one here had ever heard Kakinazun speak and Haruke didn't talk much anyway so they came across no problems with their friendship.

The class chattered away in there own little groups. Their voices easily penetrating the barrier Kakinazun had put up. Why? Because he had very acute hearing. And I mean VERY acute. He shook his head hoping the damn teacher would hurry up when the door opened and in walked not one pair of feet but two! He opened his eyes and looked over to see the girl from before stood next to the teacher. His heart skipped a beat and he slid forward in his chair as their eyes met for the second time that day.

"Class listen!" The teacher called. Everyone sat in their seats even Byronice. Kakinazun looked away from the girl. He already knew her name, Taylia it sounded only half as pretty as she looked. Her hair was down to her waist sleek and black, her figure was slender. But it was her eyes that drew him in and made his heart pound so violently against his ribcage. He looked at the teacher.

"Today class we have a new student-" The teacher started.
"WE CAN SEE THAT MASTER NOW JUST GET ON WITH IT!" Byronice shouted being his usual loud self. Kakinazun scoffed and shook his head.
"Lower the volume Byron." The teacher sighed.
"Anyway. As I was saying Taylia is new here. She's roughly the same age as alot of you and already has extremely good skills. So be ready for a challenge my two quiet boys." The techer chuckled as he pointed out Taylia's seat and walked behind his desk. Taylia's seat was right infront of Kakinazun's. He couldn't believe it.

The next half hour or so passed in a blurr of parchment,books and scrolls. He pressed his palms hard against his eyes and rubbed them causing sploges of colour to blurr his vision. He shook his head and got back to work. Not that he'd done much work, he'd been watching Taylia the whole time. He smiled and shook his head.

Her silver eyes scanned the papers before her with ease. She knew almost every language so it was clearly understandable. She shook her head and began to write. She wrote with a quill made of a ravens feather, her ravens feather at that. Her brother had made this especially for her. Her brother who was to be known as her father in this village. She sighed.

"Who am I..." She whispered to what she thought was herself. At least she did until she heard the soft chuckle behind her. She turned her head and saw the green eyed boy. She giggled slightly and looked back at her work. She swore under her breath. She written down in the wrong damn language. She had to start all over again.

He watched the feather pen scratch acroos the parchment and shook his head. He had to get some revision done. He only had half an hour left. He yawned and got back to his writing.

Once the half an hour was up the young warriors packed their gear away and trapsed outdoors. It was mid autumn so the air was bitter with cold. He shivered.
