Book One: Genin
Chapter One
The Beggining
---------The sun rose, shining through his window. Takai opened his eyes, only to close them afterward as the gleam of the light through the glass hurt his vision. He raised his forearm to block the glare. Takai pushed his comforter off himself, and sat upright on the bed. He was burning up. He then stood up, and slowly walked toward the window, and shut the blinds. “Man, what time is it. I’m so tired” he said as he jumped back into bed, to get some more shuteye. He positioned himself comfortably in the bed.
---------As he was going back to sleep, there was a knock on the door. It had startled him. He got back up off the bed, rubbing his eyes. He made his way to the door, and opened it about half way, showing his half naked body. “Hello?” he said yawning, as his friend gave him a weird look.
---------“How can you be still in your boxers at a time like this, we got our first mission!” he said barging his way in, excited.
---------“Dude, can you at least let me get my pants on before you start coming into my home?” he said walking over to a drawer, and taking out some of his Black Jeans, then slipping them on. His friend practically ignoring him, kept trying to rush Takai out the door.
---------They both quickly exited Takai’s home. His spiky black hair gleamed in the sunlight as they both ran down the streets of Hokaido, The Village of The Moon. The place where the ninjas specialize at night. Takai and his friend made it to an ladies house. “What are we doing here Mamoru?” Takai said as he watched his best friend and teammate enter the house, without a response. Takai looked annoyed, as he stepped toward the house. His friend then poked his head out the window on the above floor.
--------- “This is our first mission, this lady needs help finding her daughter. She thinks she somewhere lost here in Hokaido,” he said with a huge smile on his face.
--------- “Where is Haru?” I yelled back up. His head popped back out the window.
--------- “He was already here. He’s looking for the little girl already.” He yelled back. Takai looked ticked. Haru always likes to take things into his own hands, he’s always full of himself, he thought to himself. He doesn’t wait for the team. Mamoru ran out the door, into the street.
--------- “Come on Takai, at this rate Haru will find her first!” he said as Takai quickly followed him. They ran through the streets occasionally bumping into somebody. They were reckless boys, but good spirited.
---------They both stopped when they heard a voice. “Hey, guys. I found the girl already, boy are you guys slower then a turtle riding a snail” he said with a smirk on his face. The little girl was holding hands with Haru at the time. Takai looked a little ticked.
--------- “I want some ice cream!” The little girl yelled. Takai bent down to her height.
--------- “I’m sorry, but we don’t have any money, maybe your mommy can get you some when you get home” he said with a smile on his face. Suddenly a crunch noise could be heard, followed by a thud. Mamoru started to laugh, and Haru chuckled a bit, as they saw the little girl give Takai a low blow. Takai moaned a little, as the little girl yanked her hand from Haru’s and quickly ran around the corner. Haru and Mamoru both opened their eyes wide “Hey, come back!” they said simultaneously as they raced off to catch her. Leaving Takai doubled over on the ground, trying to slowly get his balance.
---------A couple girls stopped as they saw Takai double overed on the ground. His hand pushing himself off the ground as the other, holding his crotch as he was in extreme pain. “Are you alright?” One of the girls said as he was struggling to get up. He turned his head as he knew that voice.
--------- “Kyoku!? He said a little freaked out, and taking a step back as his face started to turn red. He forgot all about his pain, as he was embarrassed that she saw him on the floor like that. She gave him a blank look.
--------- “yes?” she said wondering what was wrong with him as she saw him in pain on the ground, and now red all over without pain at all. “You look sick, maybe you should see a doctor” she said squinting at his face, examining the redness. “Maybe its sunburn”.
---------Takai kinda froze I his position, he didn’t know what to stay. His Team came back with the girl, this time over Haru’s shoulder. “Hey guys! Your back!” he said as he turned away from the girls. Man they had good timing, he thought to himself. Mamoru walked up the girls ignoring Takai again.
--------- “Hey Kyoto, and hey Mai. Aren’t you girls looking nice.” He said attempting to look up Mai’s skirt, but getting kneed to the face before he could get a peak.
--------- “This is why I only where long skirts, and not around boys!” she said shaking her fist at Mamoru. “pervert!” she added with her hate speech. Takai lifted Mamoru off the ground, apologizing to Mai for his actions. Mai turned her back to Takai. Seems she wasn’t going to listen. He looked back over to Kyoko, who seemed to be just watching everything as it happened without giving any comment.
--------- “well, bye girls!” He said, quickly walking away. Haru quickly following behind carrying the girl as Takai was carrying his best friend. They made their way back to the ladies house, returned the girl, being cautious, as they didn’t want their nads crushed like Takai.
---------They started making their way toward the Mezakage’s building to report that the mission was complete. On the way the guys kept on targeting Takai with their jokes about him getting kicked in the nuts. Takai was ticked again, as usual. They stepped into the building noticing another team exit. They glanced at each other nodding as they walked by. Its seems they knew each other.
---------They made it up, and reported that their mission was complete. They each got paid. As they were leaving, they couldn’t help but over here a conversation. “Please, my people need help. I barely made it out alive. I will pay you when I get the money. My people are suffering, please.” An old man, in ragged clothes pleaded to a ninja behind a counter. The team was intrigued. Haru was especially intrigued as he was getting sick of all these “easy” mission. He wanted a challenge, a little danger. The old man was escorted out of the village, and the boys followed.
---------They made their way out of the village without being noticed, as they knew a secret passage, and started following the man. When they felt they were far enough, they leaped from the trees and landed near the man. “hey, don’t be scared. Were not enemies” Mamoru assured him. The man seemed frightened, but calmed a little when he saw that they were ninja.
--------- “We came cause we heard you needed help, and there’s no charge” Haru said, wanting to do the mission for fun. Takai was a little skeptical that they would get caught, but they were already out there. So he thought, what could be the harm. The old man thanked the ninja, and they followed the man to the outskirts of his village.
--------- “This is it” The old man said, as the team of ninjas watch his people in shackles and the village, well what’s left of the village covered in fire, as the rest was already burnt to the ground. The boys were a little shocked, as they had never seen a site like this in their lives, but were ready to take the challenge. They evaluated the area, seeing about 6 bandits. 2 were real big, and the others were about normal height and build, but there was one boy among the group. He looked about 15 or 16. Takai and his team were only 14. They weren’t ninja, so the team set out their plan. Haru rushed around the village, until he found an opening so he could sneak in. Mamoru stayed back in the trees, as he made a sound and lures a bandit over towards him. At the same time Takai made his way into the village as well.
---------Haru quickly and quietly made his way toward a bandit. His Kunai pulled from his belt, he stabbed the big guy in the neck quick and efficiently. The big guy went down. Takai turned a corner, Kunai ready in hand. He saw the guard slacking off a bit, and it was the perfect time for attack. The Kunai flew through the air, at quick speeds and hit the other big guy in the head. Takai rushed over to pry the Kunai from his skull. As the Kunai came out from his head, blood trickling off the Kunai. Takai saw the signals that his team has taken care of their guard. Three more to go Takai thought to himself.
---------Mamoru, exited the trees. And started walking through wild life, making his way around the village. He heard something for a split second, and turned his head in that direction. Haru jumped from the top of a house that was still standing on a guard, stabbing his kunai into the Spinal column of his enemy, killing him in an instant. A bandit turned a corner hitting a trip wire, getting his head cut off by a meat clever, it was being restrained by some rope. Takai gather his gear from the around the dead man. He caught a glimpse of Haru’s signal, but did not see Mamoru’s.
---------Haru being careful, was taking his time walking around the village, as he noticed Mamoru’s signal wasn’t there also. He was examining the area. He heard a noise, behind him. Quickly turning he sees’s nothing. Wondering what it was, he turned forward. The young boy he saw before was in front of him, he was startled. A fist came flying towards him, Haru quickly dodged by moving his head out of the way. Haru used his forearm to block another punch. He grabbed his Kunai, and went for a stab to the neck. Missing, the enemy, the attacker had an opening. Haru’s head starting bleeding as the enemy, head butted Haru. Takai’s teammate still stood on his feet, a but dazed he went for another strike with his Kunai, only for the enemy to grab his wrist, and push on a pressure point, making him drop the Kunai. The enemy quickly grabbed the kunai from the air as it was falling, and lodged it under Haru’s kneecap.
---------Blood was everywhere, but before the enemy could deliver another attack upon the wounded Haru. Takai threw a Kunai, which the enemy caught. “Your friends were easy, lets see what you got” the enemy said, as Takai made his way toward the attacker.
--------- “You’ll regret hurting Haru!” he said rushing in for an attack. A fistfight quickly ensued. Takai through a punch only to be blocked and countered. He attacked with rage and anger. Then the attacker did something unexpected. Disappeared in a blink of an eye. Takai looked around, yet couldn’t see him. Haru, bleeding on the ground yelled out to Takai.
--------- “What are you doing! He’s about to..” And that’s the last thing he heard before he blacked out.
