If you remember when sakura and naruto where talking kakashi said he had a new technique, the technique he was speaking of was the mangekyou implosion technique read up on it =P

Kakashi would win but it would be a long hard fight because Gai knows how to fight against the Sharrigan, Kakashi has more Charka and the Sharrigan just gives him more of an advantage

I don't underestimate the spring time of youth, but i belive that Kakashi would win because (a) kakashi is more laid back and dosen't tend to make mistakes, while Gai trys to break down a wall wich is controld by chakra, and gets his hand swollen for his efforts, and (b) lightning blade looks cool and is one of the most powerful moves in the naruto universe!
